Term One in a Nutshell!

Today we decided to make a cool poem about Term 1 so far - summarising it in a nutshell. We also added slides about what we have learnt so far in each subject. Hopefully the students will have theirs up by the end of the day!

Today we are looking at our school values of Being There, Choosing the Right Attitude, Making Someone's Day and Play.

Miss M saw this really cool video online of a teacher who had different handshakes with each student and wanted to try doing this with our class. We are going to do it a bit differently but the idea is that we all have something that makes us special or unique.

If you could do a different handshake - what moves would you want to include?

Teaching How to Care for our Chromebook

We are learning how to care for our devices. To share what we have learnt we have made slide animations. Here is Miss Morgan's example:

I love doing animations, although they do take a lot of time to get right!!!! 

Geometry!

In Rata we have been learning the definition of new words for Geometry!!!! Here is a slide to help you remember!!!

Miss Morgan

Miss Morgan is the teacher in Rata class.
She really likes emails from students, tidy classrooms, polite children and Gilberthorpe School. She also enjoys spending time at crossfit, dancing around the house, the smell of freshly baked cookies and exploring new places.
She recently got a puppy called Cooper and she thinks he is just perfect! But does not like when he chews on her fingers...
Other things she does not like are killer MOTHS, the sound of people biting their finger nails, boiled veges, and slow internet!!!
Recently Miss Morgan has been spending her time watching endless hours of Dance Moms! She knows that it is not doing much for her education but is mesmerised by the skill of the young dancers on the show!
Her weekends are spent looking after Cooper and Andy and seeing all of her amazing friends.
When she grows up she would love to be fit & active... as well as a traveller of the world!

PET DAY!!!!!!!!

Today we had pet day and on this slide it will tell you what kind of animal was my favourite and on the background there is my principal holding a bunny rabbit but i;m sorry you can't see his head.
