Maori Art

This term we have been learning about Mãori symbols and tone or shading as an art form. We learnt a whakatauki for the series of lessons and we have been learning a new kīwaha each week. Which one is your favourite and why?

Last week even Miss Morgan had an attempt at drawing a tiki... Do you think you could? We found it quite tricky! 

This week we are learning to explore colour! In particular we are learning about complementary colours. What do you know about these? Do you have any examples of your own?
