STEPS Program

This year the Senior Hub have been trailing the STEPS Web program to try and improve our spelling. There are different levels and you can achieve bronze, silver or gold medals in each activity. Once you have achieved gold in a level, it gets locked and you can not go back and repeat it. The activity page looks like this:
Lots of the student in the class find Word Grid really tricky! That is because you have to remember a number of words that it says in the correct order. Miss Morgan has told us that because we find it tricky, we need to make sure we are getting gold on it before we move on!

If you wanted to try out this program there is a 10 day trail here: https://stepsweb.com/

  1. Kia Ora Rata Hub. My name is Reagan and I am from Mamaku Hub. That looks like it is a really cool website. It is quite cool how you have to get a gold medal to lock it! How long have you been doing the website for? Round about how many medals have you got? From Reagan

I really like how some of your senior students have been stepping outside the box and trying something new. Did it help improve their spelling levels? This reminds me of a program we use called Studyladder.
